  • !!!!!!!!!!!!WORST SERVICE EVER!!!!!!
  • !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Don't go there to buy something you want to have finished. They tell you it takes "at least 2 weeks". After two months, they told us still the same story. LIARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Alpoehi66, 12/06/2008)
    • Convenient But Expensive by Michael G. at InsiderPages
    • I've spent hundreds of dollars on items at Economy ranging from furniture to painting supplies to kitchenware. The place is something like a hardware store version of Bed Bath and Beyond, but it doesn't have as large a selection. Also, the prices tend to be on the high end. I recommend going only when they have their midnight sales when everything is marked down up to 70% off. I picked up a nice coffee table for a decent price at one of those sales. If you don't go during a sale, then at least find a coupon. They're always on the back of my Shaw's receipts. Plus, they have a frequent buyer card, which you should definitely get. Unfortunately, it's not usable during sales. (Citysearch User, 09/24/2005)
      • Affordable Home Stuff by Patricia M. at InsiderPages
      • Economy Hardware is more than a hardware store. They also sell appliances and furniture. They are an ideal place to go if you are a student or moving into your first apartment. The stuff is very affordable. (Citysearch User, 09/02/2005)
        • Slightly Expensive Hardware store by Robert K. at InsiderPages
        • I've shopped a few times at economy hardware and have had decently pleasant experiences each time. I had to buy a certain sized screw driver there and the workers were all very courteous and helpful. There is a good selection of items at the store, from screwdrivers to lightbulbs, lamps, and all sorts of furnitures -- including chairs. The only thing I don't like about the store is that it is misnamed. Everything is not really that inexpensive though there are coupons that I used to relieve this fact. PROS: Good selection CONS: Mostly Expensive (Citysearch User, 08/29/2005)
          • Only go to browse by Jennifer W. at InsiderPages
          • Probably because of it's location near several colleges that drives business like crazy, this store is way overpriced. I only go in to browse through their selection of funky lamps and furniture-- but never buy. If I want average furniture that will fall apart shortly after purchase, I'll buy it somewhere else. The service is good, however, the salespeople are very helpful. PROS: Selection CONS: Price (Citysearch User, 08/16/2005)
            • small selection by Michael N. at InsiderPages
            • Economy Hardware is more of a home decor store now than a hardware store. The home decor section is a huge room with chairs, lamps, stools, clocks, organizers, and other items you might want. But none of these things are economical. They also sell some kitchen gadgets. The hardware section is limited to a back room crammed with tools, paint, and other items. The selection is not good and neither are the prices. Try pills hardware up the street. • Nice things, but not economical by Jennette M. at InsiderPages
              • Economy Hardware is really a misnomer. The store is lovely, and offers not only hardware but cute furniture and home accessories, but it is not cheap. They do have sales, and at these you may find very good bargains. The salespeople are friendly and knowledgeable. They have a great selection of candles and fun shower curtains. But if you're looking for a deal, I suggest looking elsewhere. PROS: Nice stuff CONS: Pricey (Citysearch User, 07/25/2005)
                • Works for me. by Tyler B. at InsiderPages
                • They have a stellar lamp selection. The staff is friendly and they have what you need. Pretty cut and dry hardware store. They also have furniture and book cases. A little pricey but what in the city isn't. (Citysearch User, 07/07/2005)
